The research of community learning process and knowledge management on local wisdom and expressive culture has been operated base upon the basic concept that such action is the means in Community Development Process which aims to strengthen communality and to empower healthy communities.

This research studied several actions related to the learning process and knowledge management on local wisdom and expressive culture of communities participated in 4 sub-projects under the Learning and Empowerment of Healthy Communities Project [LEHCP] during 2004-2005 including the Revitalization of Tai Culture Project, the Study Project on Learning Process for Indigenous Health Care and Thai Massage, the Participative Learning Project on the Construction of Healthy Earth-House towards Self Reliance, and the Study Project on Local Wisdom and Development Network for Better Life of Communities in Phimai.

The first program organized learning and knowledge management activities focusing on revitalizing expressive cultures of the state-less Tai community in order to strengthen the Tai ethnicity. The other 3 programs dealt with local wisdom serving human basic needs and related necessities including food (rice noodle), clothes (silk), house (earth-house) medicine (massage and herbal medical care), bamboo-works (boat-shape cradle) and organic fertilizer.

This research reveals that the learning process and knowledge managements for youths and projected groups had been done through participative actions of local intellectuals, experienced-person, experts and development workers from outside. Budget and academic advisory given by the LEHCP are much benefit to the programs. Learning and knowledge management through socialization approach with practical-based focus is appropriate to this theme.
